Surgery canceled again

Zac's surgery was canceled again today. He was back in the OR, and sedated; however his platelets were too low to perform the surgery. We were under the impression that if this were the case that they could transfuse, and then do the surgery; however this surgery is about 5 hrs, and the transfusion would add too much time to the amount of overall time of sedation. Dr. Paley opted to cancel the surgery for today! We are so frustrated as this is the 3rd attempt for this surgery as the other 2 times Zac had viruses at the last minute. We are hoping to reschedule for next week. Please keep us in your prayers through yet another emotional roller coaster, and trying to keep Zac well. It does not make sense to us, as all the knowledge that we have points towards needing to have this surgery and soon. We are not sure why there have been so many obstacles, but we are still believing that God is in control and only He knows the bigger picture. It makes it challenging to have complete surrender, but we know we must. It also gives us hope knowing that there is a bigger picture, and that God knows best.
